A day in the country

Members of the Melbourne and Geelong Sri Chinmoy Centres enjoyed a relaxing and energising day in country Victoria.

All participating members enjoyed activities such as bush walking, cricket, football, a spot of running and even a long cycle from Melbourne to Daylesford.

Tristan Boyle, who is in training for the Sri Chinmoy Triple Triathlon, held in Canberra later in November, along with a few of his friends took the opportunity to cycle the 150Km from Melbourne to Daylesford.

Sarah Barnett took a few hours out of the day to complete a training run in preparation for the Colac Six Day Race held in, believe it or not….Colac!

Melinda Pearson braved the chilly lake, to prepare her for the Three-Day Ultra Triathlon, held in…. you guessed it… Canberra, February 2006.

Meanwhile, the rest of us had a mild tramp in the bush, and enjoyed a feast of food and good company!

Sushmitam Rouse stated: “It’s great to get away from the busy lifestyle and responsibilities I have in Geelong to spend quality time with like minded friends.”

Prashputtita Greco agreed: “I never give myself enough time in Melbourne. Today has been a great opportunity to get away from the city and experience the peace and serenity of Australia’s beauty.”
